Former Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi has said that several government departments are currently smearing his reputation and holding town hall meetings in response to his issue.
But Obi has stated that the news doesn’t concern him, and he has remarked that many would be surprised to hear about the challenges he faces on a daily basis.
While answering questions regarding the most recent Nigerian general election, the former governor of Anambra State made the comment on Friday in Canada.
People will wonder why I’m going through this if I tell them, and I do it daily. When you ask me why I’m still involved, I’ll tell you: because you still have to annoy someone. However, I am currently participating.
Even when I am not actively seeking office, I am nevertheless the target of daily personal attacks from a number of government agencies and their operatives.
Town hall sessions are now reserved exclusively for my benefit. Of course. I am unconcerned about it. What were we doing? Let’s not stop now. I think we did very fantastic. Further progress along that line is something of which we should be justifiably proud.
The LP presidential contender was in Canada for a “thank you” visit, according to sesothomp3. He was there to thank Nigerians residing in Canada for their support during his campaign and general elections in 2023.
