Barcelona legend Rivaldo has cautioned that Arsenal’s hopes of signing Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes this summer could run into trouble due to the abundance of transfer rumors surrounding the player.
Arsenal may find their pursuit of the gifted Brazilian midfielder complicated after Rivaldo brought attention to Manchester City’s intense interest in him.
The futures of midfielders Thomas Partey and Jorginho are uncertain, and Arsenal needs to strengthen their team. As a result, they have revived their interest in Guimaraes, who had a fantastic season with Newcastle and showed his abilities.
But Rivaldo thought the 24-year-old may be swayed by Manchester City’s offer, what with the draw of playing for Pep Guardiola’s City and all and the brotherhood among City players.
Arsenal and Manchester City have been linked to Newcastle’s Bruno Guimaraes. Rivaldo told Betfair that he is a fantastic player who has been outstanding this year.
