Posted by The government of Katsina State has mandated the immediate vacation of forestland that was unlawfully allotted in an effort to save the environment and recover public property.
The widespread problem of strategically important forest areas being distributed as farmlands has been addressed by Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, who acted upon the recommendations of an investigating team.
Abdullahi Aliyu Yar’adua, the Director of Press in the Office of the Secretary to the Katsina State Government, released a press statement with the news.
The statement states that in order to avoid any more issues and make sure the transfer goes smoothly, people who are already on illegally assigned land should leave immediately.
The announcement served as a gentle reminder to the general public that the distribution of Katsina State’s public forest lands and urban areas may only be approved by Governor Radda.
In order to ensure that these suggestions are carried out, a new committee has been established.
Subsequently, the government of Katsina State pleaded with the populace to remember the order and not acquire land without proper authorization.
