Wike to be investigated by Gov. Fubara

On Monday, Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State said that his administration will be forming a panel to investigate earlier administrations, notably Nyesom Wike’s.

During the oath-taking ceremony for Dagogo Iboroma to become the state’s attorney general, Governor Fubara—who has been embroiled in a feud with Wike, the FCT minister—disclosed the plot.

The governor is pessimistic about the prospects of a speedy resolution to the ongoing political turmoil affecting the state.

The governor, who was apparently alluding to Wike, said that his opponents were actively working against his administration in the hopes that the problem in the state could be resolved peacefully.

Regardless of public opinion, Governor Fubara promised to make difficult decisions going ahead.

Former Attorney General Zacchaeus Adangor, SAN, and his Ministry of Works counterpart, Alabo George-Kelly, were both addressed by Fubara in recent remarks.

The governor claims that the former attorney general and others who were critical of his administration were actively working to derail his administration’s policies and programs by filing nolle prosequi that were detrimental to the state’s interests.
