The contract of Super Eagles right defender Ola Aina has been extended by Nottingham Forest by one year, bringing his tenure with the club to June 2025.

Aina, a Nigerian international, had a solid debut season after joining the English Premier League team last summer on a free transfer from Torino.

On Tuesday, the club stated on their official website that they have activated a one-year extension in Ola Aina’s contract. “Nottingham Forest is pleased to confirm this,” the club said.

After signing with Trentside on a free transfer last summer, the 27-year-old had a good debut season.

The Forest announced that Aina, who can play either right back or left back, made 22 appearances for the club this season and became well-liked by fans because to his dynamic exploits in defense.

The 2023 AFCON Team of the Tournament honoree and hero of the Africa Cup of Nations scored Forest’s first goal in a 2-0 home victory over Aston Villa.
