Manager Ange Postecoglou of Tottenham Hotspur has told Manchester City that they would not “roll out the red carpet” to welcome them.
The title chances of Arsenal could be enhanced if Spurs manage to take points away from Pep Guardiola’s squad.
With their 1-0 victory over Manchester United, the Gunners reclaimed first place in the league.
The outcome of the title race will now be decided on the last day.
City trail Arsenal by one point; but, if they defeat Spurs on Tuesday in their remaining game, they will regain first place.
“Our goal is to win the football game that is scheduled to be played. Not only have Man City not won it yet, but if you believe they have, it becomes problematic because we’re treating them like royalty, and I refuse to do that.
“I will not passively observe their victory. Postecoglou expressed his displeasure to reporters.
